Welcome to the Cash Drawer Counter application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App. Your privacy is important to us.

This App is designed to help you count and manage cash drawer contents. Critically, the App stores all data you enter directly on your own device using your web browser's local storage (`localStorage`). No data is collected, stored, or transmitted to us or any external servers by the App itself.

2. Information We Handle (Locally)

The App allows you to input various types of information related to cash counting, such as:

• Counts of bills and coins (by denomination)
• Counts of rolled coins
• Starting bank amounts
• Expected cash due amounts
• Manager names
• Staff counts
• Sales amounts
• Labor percentages
• Notes related to the count

This information is stored ONLY in your browser's `localStorage` on your device. We, the developers/providers of the App, do not have access to this information.

3. How Information is Used (Locally)

The information you enter is used solely for the following purposes within the App, directly in your browser:

• To calculate cash totals for drawers and the safe.
• To calculate cash collected and over/short amounts.
• To calculate the total deposit amount.
• To allow you to generate a plain text report summarizing the count data.
• To persist your entered data between sessions using `localStorage`, so you don't lose your work if you close the browser tab or refresh the page.

The data is not used for tracking, analytics, advertising, or any other purpose by the App itself.

4. Data Storage and Security

As mentioned, all data you input is stored in your web browser's `localStorage`.

• Location: This data resides entirely on your device.
• Security: The security of this locally stored data depends on the security measures you have in place for your device and browser.
• Deletion: You can clear all data stored by the App in `localStorage` at any time by using the "Clear Count" button within the App or by clearing your browser's storage manually.
• Access: We do not have access to the data stored in your `localStorage`.

5. Data Sharing

The App includes a "Share Report" feature. This feature works as follows:

• It generates a plain text summary of the count data you have entered.
• It then uses your browser's built-in sharing capabilities (either the Web Share API if supported, or a `mailto:` link) to allow YOU to send this generated text to a destination of YOUR choice (e.g., an email recipient, a messaging app).
• The App itself does not automatically transmit or share this data anywhere. The act of sharing and the destination of the data are entirely controlled by you, the user, through your device's interface.

6. Third-Party Services

This App uses Google Fonts to display text. Google Fonts may collect usage data as described in their own privacy policy. You can find more information here:

No other third-party services that collect personal information are integrated into this App.

7. Children's Privacy

This App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
